Pliening with the Landsham district is approx. 8 km east of the Munich city limits. The place has retained its rural character, with practicing farmers, church, customs and many cultural and sporting facilities.

The town has 1,766 inhabitants, is only a few minutes' drive from Munich due to the proximity of the A94 and A99 motorways (inaudible) and can also be easily reached with the S2 and the regional bus 460. The municipality of Landsham therefore has a good infrastructure.
