Location

Poing Up-and-coming community in the east of the state capital

Poing is located about 20 kilometers east of the state capital Munich in the district of Ebersberg. In recent years, Poing has transformed from a purely agricultural town into a modern, up-and-coming community with around 15,000 residents and a considerable number of commercial establishments. Poing is known nationwide for the Poing construction center in the Grub district, Bavaria's largest prefabricated house exhibition. Poing can look back on more than a thousand years of documented history. The oldest settlement finds, however, prove that people lived here as early as 3000 BC. The proximity to the state capital, the Riem trade fair center and Munich Airport as well as the good transport links make Poing an extremely popular place to live.

Poing has an excellent infrastructure. In the newly designed town center there are restaurants and public buildings such as an adult education center, a youth center and a senior citizens' center with a care facility as well as a large P+R building. Thanks to the connection to the A94 and the proximity to the Munich East motorway junction, you can quickly reach the state capital or one of the large Bavarian lakes and the Alps by car, or the airport via the East Airport Tangent. Various bus lines connect Poing with the surrounding communities, and the S2 S-Bahn line takes you to Munich Central Station or Erding in 30 minutes.
