Uffing at the Staffelsee
The municipality of Uffing am Staffelsee has almost 3000 inhabitants and is part of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district. It is located in one of the most beautiful scenic areas in Bavaria and, in addition to its close proximity to the Staffelsee, also offers a unique Alpine panorama.
The lake is one of the warmest in Germany and offers fantastic bathing conditions with its well-tended beaches and small islands. In winter the lake is frozen over for up to 3 months and can be used for ice skating. The town center can be reached on foot in around ten minutes. Beautiful historical buildings in the foothills of the Alps and the aforementioned scenic advantages create a cozy, feel-good atmosphere in this uniquely beautiful place that is second to none. Several times a day there is a ferry to the islands of Buchau and Wörth as well as to the next larger town Murnau. Like Uffing, all of these destinations are part of the Blue Land tourist region.
In the immediate vicinity of the property, a very well-stocked supermarket ensures the supply of everyday products. All other supply facilities such as banks, pharmacies and doctors are located in the nearby center. There is also a primary school and two day-care centers. You can walk to the train station in around 15 minutes. From there a regional express goes to Munich every hour.
