Uffing at the Staffelsee

The municipality of Uffing am Staffelsee has almost 3000 inhabitants and is part of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district. It is located in one of the most beautiful scenic areas in Bavaria and, in addition to its close proximity to the Staffelsee, also offers a unique alpine panorama.

The lake is one of the warmest in Germany and, with its well-tended beaches and small islands, offers fantastic bathing conditions. In winter the lake is frozen for up to 3 months and can be used for ice skating. The town center can be reached on foot in around ten minutes. Beautiful historical buildings in the foothills of the Alps and the already mentioned scenic advantages create a cozy feel-good atmosphere that is second to none in this uniquely beautiful place. Several times a day there is a ferry to the islands of Buchau and Wörth as well as to the next larger town Murnau. Like Uffing, all of these destinations are part of the Blue Land tourist region.
