Munich - Poing

Poing is located about 20 kilometers east of the state capital of Munich in the Ebersberg district. In recent years, Poing has changed from a purely agricultural place to a modern, up-and-coming community with around 15,000 inhabitants and a remarkable commercial area. Poing is known nationally because of the Poing construction center in the Grub district, Bavaria's largest prefabricated house exhibition. The proximity to the state capital, the Riem trade fair and Munich Airport as well as the convenient transport connections make Poing an extremely popular place to live. Poing has an excellent infrastructure. In the newly designed town center there are restaurants and public buildings such as VHS, youth center and senior center with care facility as well as a large P + R building. A shopping center and medical practices in various specialties guarantee local care. Several crèches and kindergartens, including a forest kindergarten and a Waldorf kindergarten, after-school care, two elementary schools - a third is under construction, a middle school and a junior high school as well as a special education support center are available in the community, the next high school is in the neighboring Kirchheim.
